I am so incredibly pissed off at this episode I seriously feel like not continuing watching this stupid show. I have really mixed feelings about this show, partially I love it, partially I hate it and Godric/Eric was one of the few things I really liked. And now they've killed Godric! D:

Maryann storyline=boring.
Sam=boring
Sooky/Bill=boring
Jason=boring

I basically only really enjoy Lafayette and Hoyt/Jessica. We don't see much of them and even Lafayette has been kind of scarce and boring lately. Though awesome kudos for stealing Tara. Hopefully she will stop being boring now!

They killed my OTP. I'm just gonna go cry now. Or watch something else, idk.

I'm not pissed, but I am at the very least vexed.

Like, I would have been cool with the whole 'World Weary Vampire Kills Himself' because, really after over 2000 years? It makes sense that he'd want to go there. But it all seemed so damn rushed. Like, they couldn't have spent a little longer exploring Godric and Eric's bond?
Edit; And by 'exploring Godric and Eric's bond' I do, of course, mean SHOW US THE GODDAMNED SEX.

Considering that we've had nine damn episodes of 'Maryann makes orgies and everyone in town but Sam is too damn fucking stupid to notice', did we really have to squeeze the introduction of the oldest vampire of the show, his world-weariness and his eventual suicide into four? And one of those was even a flashback.

Exactly! It also vexes me that every episode has explicit sexual stuff but they don't dare do anything more than one gay kiss. One -chaste- gay kiss. It's okay to watch people fucking in every which position as long as they're straight, didn't you know? To the point where I kind of start feeling like they're just going, "Look at us, we're HBO, we can do whatever we fucking like!"

oh sorry.

"...Except teh gais. o.o Can't do that. Here, have an hetero orgy instead."

I know! Every orgy scene it's just like '...okay, straight couple... straight threesome... straight couple... hot lesbians...'. Are we really supposed to believe that in a completely debauched, Dionysian orgy like that, people are still going to adhere to heteronormative behaviour?

And it's not even HBO. Plenty of other HBO shows have put explicit gay sex out there, so it's not as though the network is holding them back.

Might be the production company. *comment hops* Dead Like Me aired on a cable network - I can't remember if it's Showtime or HBO. That show's creator was forced to completely rewrite a storyline concerning the main character's father being revealed as gay because the people behind the show demanded it, despite the fact that it aired on a network that didn't play by the normal rules. They even had to do it after the plot was dangled in the pilot, so now the little implication makes no sense.

I was sad about Godric too, though the actual scene where he dies was well done, I think.

Mostly I jus treally don't want them to go into a huge Sookie/Bill/Erik triangle thing, which I think they will. 'Cause I don't hate Sookie, but Bill/Sookie bores me, and I don't want them to make Erik boring. I liked him and wee!Godric a lot, but if they let him go be an awesome asshole with Pam I'll still be happy. lol

yeah I noted that it was pretty even if I was barely watching by that point and angrily writing out an lj post instead... lol

There -will- be a boring triangle, that's how it goes. They've changed a lot of stuff from the books but apparently Sookie/Eric is something that does go down in the book... idk. ick.

Godric/Eric made me happy ;_;

lol. There's always fanfic?

Lafayette and him had screwed up chemistry. Maybe he'll turn him and then can have weird UST issues instead. lol. Since Lafayette doesn't live past like the first book in the series, so who knows what they'll do with him.

Yeah, the triangle is in the books and you can already tell they've been amping toward it. Meh. I did like Erik being an asshole to get her to suck on his chest though. Oh me and my predictable attachment to morally questionable male characters. Especially when they're ginormous.

Eric/Godric just totally touched on my slashy size-difference kink. Bah. And I don't read fanfic anymore, or very very rarely.

I want snappy Lafayette back :( even though it makes sense that he's all PTSdisordery... bah

Yeah, I hope he snaps back soon too. I haven't actually read any for True Blood yet, so I have no idea if there's even anything decent out there anyway. Eric/Godric was fun though, so I mourn too. I think I'm just jaded 'cause half of my first and biggest hardcore OTP died in canon. So now it's just expected. lol
